One day, I read the book "the road to sparta" from Dean karnazes. It inspired me so much that I immediately knew "this is it". The spartathlon was my dream, my life-changing moment. From that moment on the story of my long way to Sparta began. Step by step, I started walking before I could run a 5k, then 10k, then half marathon. Now I love city marathons but most of all the feeling of ultra running and walking in nature for hours, 24 hours or more. The power & feeling of finishing gives me such deep satisfaction and an incredible runner’s high. After all those years and several milestones on my way to sparta my first attempt at achieving the ultimate goal has a date. Without dreams nothing happens. Dream big. Federico
