Short CV:
As a resident of Qatar, most of my running these days is in the desert. Which was a good preparation for the Marathon des Sables last year. I started long distance running 11 years ago, when I prepared for my first marathon. Since then I moved up to multi-day and ultra marathons, including the TransAline run and the Mauerlauf in Berlin (100 miles). Last year I attempted the Spartathlon, but was not successful. But it was a good learning experience, which helps me to be better prepared this year.
