I am an avid ultra runner (and swimmer)! I ran 100 miles for the first time in March of 2015 after completing a 6 mile swim. This was in an effort to raise funds and awareness for Childhood Cancer. I raised over $75,000 during that event and have continued to raise several hundreds of thousands of dollars for various charities since then. I use my running to inspire others to keep moving. I successfully completed the Sparathlon in 2023 representing the Cayman Islands and have completed 7 Bardwater 135 races (6 of which are top 10). It would be a dream come true to be the first femal Canadian athelete to complete the Sparathlon at your prestigious event.

 Spartathlon revives the footsteps of Pheidippides, an ancient Athenian long distance runner, who in 490 BC, before the battle of Marathon, was sent to Sparta to seek help in the war between the Greeks and the Persians.

Described as the world's most grueling race, the Spartathlon runs over rough tracks and muddy paths, crosses vineyards and olive groves, climbs steep hillsides and, most challenging of all, takes the runners on the 1,200 meter ascent and descent of Mount Parthenio in the dead of night.
