Short CV:
I have run a number of ultra marathons over the last few years, including the Spartathlon 2017 and the UK Centurion Grand Slam series of 100 miles trail races in 2015. I have also successfully completed the UTMB (2009), Leadville 100 Trail race (2013), as part of my 100 mile race finishes, in addition to running the MdS twice, in 2008 and 2013. My best marathon time is 3:13 in Edinburgh 2018, but I hope to improve on this in London 2019. I am looking forward to having the opportunity to improve on my finish time from 2017.

 Spartathlon revives the footsteps of Pheidippides, an ancient Athenian long distance runner, who in 490 BC, before the battle of Marathon, was sent to Sparta to seek help in the war between the Greeks and the Persians.

Described as the world's most grueling race, the Spartathlon runs over rough tracks and muddy paths, crosses vineyards and olive groves, climbs steep hillsides and, most challenging of all, takes the runners on the 1,200 meter ascent and descent of Mount Parthenio in the dead of night.
