Short CV:
Ever since I first heard about Spartathalon it has been on my must-do-list. I have never been to Greece and the type pf race it is suits my skills if past races are anything to go by. Its Iconic nature is a massive draw card for me and i hope to be able to compete at it one day. I have competed on 3 Australian teams at 1 world championships and 2 Commonwealth Championships, the latter one I was a Bronze individual medalist with 217km. In 2014 I ran 214.7km to make the Australian Team for the Turin World Championships. In 2015 I became a National Podium Level 24 Hour Mountain biker also so now have 2 strings to my bow.  Spartathlon revives the footsteps of Pheidippides, an ancient Athenian long distance runner, who in 490 BC, before the battle of Marathon, was sent to Sparta to seek help in the war between the Greeks and the Persians.

Described as the world's most grueling race, the Spartathlon runs over rough tracks and muddy paths, crosses vineyards and olive groves, climbs steep hillsides and, most challenging of all, takes the runners on the 1,200 meter ascent and descent of Mount Parthenio in the dead of night.
