I love sports. When I was young I've trained swimming. Now I'm runnng every day (around 6000km per year). I love mountains and trail running. I also cycle ocasionally. I have wife, 2 kids and a dog. My dream ever since I've stareted running in 2010 has been to someday participate in Spartathlon. I've a sucessfully finished all 18 marathons that I've participated and also 12h and 24h runs. I ran marathon under 3h on several occasions, with best time of 2h51m. 12h run with 122.5km, and 24h with 230km under my legs. On 24h run I've reached 3rd🏅 place at Slovenian national championship and on 12h 2nd🏅 place. The next big dream has been to kiss the feet of Leonidas, after succesfully finishing Spartathlon, which I did it ☺️ in 2025 on my 1st attempt w/ time 28h40min11sec, which is 3rd🏅 fastest Slovenian debut from the beginning of Spartathlon races (1983 onwards). The next challange has not yet been defined. 🤓

 Spartathlon revives the footsteps of Pheidippides, an ancient Athenian long distance runner, who in 490 BC, before the battle of Marathon, was sent to Sparta to seek help in the war between the Greeks and the Persians.

Described as the world's most grueling race, the Spartathlon runs over rough tracks and muddy paths, crosses vineyards and olive groves, climbs steep hillsides and, most challenging of all, takes the runners on the 1,200 meter ascent and descent of Mount Parthenio in the dead of night.
