My name is Seefke, I am 37 years old, and I started running five years ago. My initial goal was simply to be able to run 5 km, but that quickly escalated to marathons and soon after to ultra races. In 2025, I ran my first 24-hour race at the Belgian Championships, where I finished 2nd in the women’s category. Thanks to that performance, I was also selected to compete at the 24-Hour World Championships in Albi. My participation in the Belgian Championships was part of a bigger goal: qualifying for the Spartathlon. I am very much looking forward to pushing my limits and experiencing what it is like to run — and hopefully finish — this mythical race. On a personal level, I have two children: a 12-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter. I work as a Financial Administrator at Yuki, an international company under Visma. I live in Kruibeke, where I founded a local running group: Kruibeke Running Crew. I was inspired by several Belgian ultrarunners who have already finished the Spartathlon. As a woman, I hope to become the fourth Belgian woman to finish this race.
