I am an endurance runner from the Netherlands with a strong background in competitive road racing and ultra-distance running. I have run a 2:34 marathon, and completed my first and only 100-mile race in 14 hours and 20 minutes, combining speed, efficiency, and long-duration endurance. Prior to my running career, I served as a Dutch Marine, where discipline, mental resilience, and the ability to perform under prolonged physical and mental stress were core values. These principles continue to shape my training and race execution. The Spartathlon represents the ultimate test of endurance, discipline, and mental strength. My goal is to approach this historic race with respect for the distance, controlled pacing, and the determination to complete the journey from Athens to Sparta at the highest possible level.
