The Board of Directors of SPARTATHLON, in the context of promoting female participation in the historic ultramarathon race, has decided to accept all 18 Greek female athletes currently on the waiting list for SPARTATHLON 2025.
This decision was made with the aim of strengthening the presence of Greek women in one of the most demanding and historic ultramarathons worldwide, recognizing their growing momentum and achievements in the field of ultra-distance running.
The 18 additional female athletes who will be admitted to the race will not be eligible to select any of the accommodation packages provided by the organization in Athens or Sparta, and will be responsible for managing their own preparation independently.
The final entry list, following the Board of Directors’ right to select 10 athletes and the inclusion of the Greek female athletes, is now structured as follows:
